            Baseball Preview: Granbury Pirates vs. Azle Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Granbury will face off against Azle. The Pirates will head out to  face off against the Hornets  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Granbury is coming into the  game hot, having won their last eight games.
Last Tuesday, Granbury was able to grind out a solid  victory over Azle, taking the game  9-5.
 Levi Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in February.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kyler Crites, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Derek Marquardt was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Granbury pushed their record up to 13-5 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Azle, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-8.
