Great Hearts Northern Oaks got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They skirted past Young Women's Leadership Academy 45-43.

Great Hearts Northern Oaks' win came from a few key players Marion will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elizabeth Paulos, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of DeLaney Paulos, who earned 16 points.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Great Hearts Northern Oaks, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

Marion took their victory against Great Hearts Northern Oaks in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 57-36. Will Marion repeat their success, or does Great Hearts Northern Oaks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
