Baseball Recap: Serrano Takes a Loss

Serrano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Apple Valley Sun Devils, falling 21-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Diamondbacks of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Serrano saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Scott Ebeling, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Serrano's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Apple Valley, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Serrano will venture away from home to square off against Sultana at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Serrano has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Apple Valley, they will be playing at home against Hesperia at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Apple Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
