Recap: Dakota Ridge Eagles vs. Golden Demons
The Dakota Ridge Eagles entered their tilt with the Golden Demons with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Dakota Ridge came out on top against Golden by a score of 56-48 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dakota Ridge also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Ethan Berninger was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alijah Sawyer, who scored nine points.
When it comes to explaining why Golden lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Erger. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. Shad Garnett was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Dakota Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Golden, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Dakota Ridge will head out on the road to square off against Conifer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Allowing an average of 52 points per game, Conifer has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game. As for Golden, they will be playing at home against Littleton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Littleton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
