San Tan Charter had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bagdad Sultans. The two-run effort marked the Roadrunners' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

San Tan Charter saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Crupi, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

San Tan Charter's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Bagdad, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-4.

Looking ahead, San Tan Charter will be playing at home against Gilbert Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bagdad, they will welcome Maryvale Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Matador have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.64 runs per game on average), something the Sultans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
