Basketball Game Preview: Byron Tigers vs. Princeton Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Byron Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Princeton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Byron will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Dixon, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Byron came out on top in a nail-biter against Dixon on Friday, sneaking past 62-59. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Dukes & Duchesses: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Princeton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Trojans 62-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted since January 7th.

Princeton now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Byron, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6.

Byron strolled past Princeton when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a score of 59-43. Does Byron have another victory up their sleeve, or will Princeton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
