Purdue Broad Ripple not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 18, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Columbus Christian Crusaders.

Kyler Jones made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Jones was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Jarrett Harris and Carter Brooks did most of the damage at the plate: Harris scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances, while Brooks scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Harris a new career-high. Daniel Pratt was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Purdue Broad Ripple back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Purdue Broad Ripple will challenge Indianapolis Crispus Attucks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Lynx will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Columbus Christian, they will host Tindley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
