Baseball Recap: Gaffney Takes a Loss

Gaffney lost to Spartanburg on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-3. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brady Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Brody Bright was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Gaffney's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Spartanburg, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Gaffney will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on James F. Byrnes at 6:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for Spartanburg, they will host Chapman at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
