Volleyball Recap: Clovis East Comes Up Short

Clovis East lost against Clovis back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Timberwolves lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Clovis East took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-15, 26-24.

Avery Herman paced Clovis East's offense, picking up eight kills. Herman got some help from Keniah Verduzco and her 12 assists.

Reina Dvorak had an outrageously good game for Clovis as she had six digs, five aces, and one block. That's the most aces Dvorak has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Yang, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Clovis East's defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Clovis, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-4 record this season.

Clovis East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Central East on the 21st. As for Clovis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Clovis West on the 21st.
