After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Holdingford Huskers by a score of 6-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Holdingford, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City and Holdingford could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Falcons will challenge West Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (219 vs. 92). Meanwhile, Holdingford (ranked 212th) will meet Kimball (ranked 30th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
