Softball Recap: Waupaca Comes Up Short

Waupaca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans, falling 8-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 10-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Waupaca saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was C Guyette, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Waupaca's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Luxemburg-Casco, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Waupaca didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-3 loss against Marathon on the 17th. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they will welcome Sevastopol at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
