The Grace Academy Lions will square off against the Union Preparatory Polar Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Grace Academy barely beat Lee Park Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Grace Academy was the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over Lee Park Prep on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the match before.

Michael Im was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Brody Mcnamara was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Grace Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Union Preparatory was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 13-1 to Queen's Grant. The loss put an end to the Polar Bears' undefeated start to the season.

Grace Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing seven strikeouts in those games compared to only 2.67 in the others. Having lost for the first time this season, Union Preparatory fell to 2-1.

Grace Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Union Preparatory in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 9-5. Does Grace Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Union Preparatory turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
