After soaring to 37 points the game before, Otay Ranch was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Point Loma Pointers. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Pointers: they've now lost three in a row.

Henry Heuser was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 30 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 109 yards on ten of 20 attempts.

Otay Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Point Loma, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
