Volleyball Recap: Wausau West Warriors vs. Marshfield Tigers
Wausau West lost against Marshfield back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Tigers.
While Wausau West had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 25-19.
Ella Bohlin paced Wausau West's offense, picking up ten kills. Bohlin got some help from Ava Ngo and her 15 assists. Addy Vaughn controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Marshfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paige Schlagenhaft, who had 18 assists and 12 digs. That's the most assists Schlagenhaft has posted over her last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Calyn Ziembo, who had ten digs and two assists.
Wausau West has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
