If Niwot wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Evergreen, they should've done a better job of containing Gianni Volpe. Evergreen took down Niwot 34-17 on Friday with plenty of help from Volpe, who rushed for 227 yards and three scores while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.5 rushing yards per game.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Evergreen's defense and their six sacks. Leading the way was Jackson Post with 2.5.

Evergreen's record now sits at 3-1. As for Niwot, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Evergreen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 58-0 victory against Summit on the 10th. As for Niwot, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-7 defeat against Windsor on the 10th.
