Soccer Game Preview: Coolidge vs. Banneker + How To Watch

The Coolidge Colts will take on the Banneker Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Coolidge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: DC International, who was ranked second at the time (Coolidge was ranked ninth). The Colts and the Dragons finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday. The result kept Coolidge happy, as they haven't lost a game since October 4th.

Oseas Gonzalez and Michael Flores Sorto scored both of Coolidge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Banneker). Their defense stepped up to hand McKinley Tech a 6-0 shutout on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked Banneker's fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Banneker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. Coolidge's draw gives them a new season record of 8-2-3.
