Football Recap: KIPP Collegiate Comes Up Short

KIPP Collegiate played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the St. George's Gryphons, falling 48-16. The phoenix were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Although KIPP Collegiate took the loss, they still got scores from Christopher Farris and Kevin Garnett.

This is the second loss in a row for KIPP Collegiate and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for St. George's, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, KIPP Collegiate will take on Booker T. Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The phoenix will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. George's, they will challenge Northpoint Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Gryphons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
