Soccer Recap: Fountain Valley Takes a Loss

Fountain Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Colorado Springs Christian Lions. If Fountain Valley were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to Colorado Springs Christian when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fountain Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Colorado Springs Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4-1.

Coming up, Fountain Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Banning Lewis Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colorado Springs Christian, they will square off against St. Mary's at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colorado Springs Christian will be up against St. Mary's rather soft defense (which has allowed six goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
