Soccer Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short

Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Adairsville Tigers, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Ridgeland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 369th, while Adairsville are ranked 93rd).

Ridgeland's goal came courtesy of Maria Ronda, who's now up to ten this season.

Ridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Adairsville, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Coming up, Ridgeland will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Chattooga at 5:00 p.m. As for Adairsville, they will head out to take on Allatoona at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Allatoona will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Adairsville surely won't give up without a fight.
