Miller hasn't had much luck against Marionville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cardinals will face off against the Comets at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Miller will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Pierce City, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cardinals walked away with a 34-21 win over the Eagles on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Miller's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylen Madsen, who rushed for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 101 receiving yards and one score. Madsen showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 58 yards. Miller also got a significant boost from Paul Nunez, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Miller was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Marionville against Ash Grove on Friday as the squad secured a 34-7 victory. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
One reason for the win was Marionville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Ash Grove's QB won't forget Ryder White anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Jeremy Siver got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Miller's record is now 5-3. As for Marionville, their record now sits at 7-1.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Madsen and Bryer Guerin. Madsen just won't slow down this season and has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 53.8 passing yards per game. Guerin has been a dominant force too and has averaged 8.5 total tackles per game.
Miller suffered a grim 22-0 defeat to Marionville when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Guerin, who rushed for 106 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries. Now that the Cardinals know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
