Softball Recap: Henrico Comes Up Short

Henrico lost against Highland Springs back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Springers by a score of 7-6.

Henrico's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Highland Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Henrico will be playing at home against Varina at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.27 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Highland Springs, they will face off against Maggie Walker at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland Springs' pitchers better be ready for this one: Maggie Walker has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
