Fernley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They slipped by the Reed Raiders 38-37. That's more bragging rights for the Vaqueros, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Fernley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Tollestrup out in front who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 17 boards. The dominant performance also gave Tollestrup a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Another player making a difference was Justice Martell- Artiaga, who posted seven points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.
