Volleyball Game Preview: Dreher Blue Devils vs. Dutch Fork Silver Foxes

The Dreher Blue Devils will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Dreher came up short against Gilbert and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost five in a row.

Dreher started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Dutch Fork posted their closest win since October 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Batesburg-Leesville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Silver Foxes.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Dutch Fork who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-11, 16-25, 25-21.

Dreher's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dutch Fork, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Dreher skirted past Dutch Fork 2-1 in their previous matchup back in August of 2024. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Silver Foxes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
