Football Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for St. Joseph Academy + How To Watch

While St. Joseph Academy put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Interlachen. The Flashes breezed past the Rams to the tune of 41-0. The Flashes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 27 points or more this season.

Cody Ott produced another solid performance throwing for 184 yards and three TDs while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushing for 34 yards and one touchdown. St. Joseph Academy's leading receiver Camden Coffindaffer was Ott's top target yet again, picking up 84 receiving yards, while also punching in one score on the ground.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something St. Joseph Academy proved: they limited Interlachen to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Asher Glisson for the heroic effort on defense: he. St. Joseph Academy didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 12.1.

St. Joseph Academy's defense also made the game a nightmare for DJ McKinnon, racking up eight sacks. Calvin Schilling led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Interlachen's side was Glisson, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The victory keeps St. Joseph Academy at an undefeated 9-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.8 points on average this season. As for Interlachen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, St. Joseph Academy will square off against Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Flashes will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. Interlachen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
