Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Covenant Patriots vs. Earlsboro Wildcats

The Southwest Covenant Patriots will head out to square off against the Earlsboro Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Southwest Covenant's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

Southwest Covenant will head out to face Earlsboro after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. Southwest Covenant fell just short of Christian Heritage by a score of 70-68. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (63), the Patriots still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Earlsboro took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 70-39 victory over Paden. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 31 points or more this season.

Earlsboro is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Southwest Covenant, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2.

Southwest Covenant took their win against Earlsboro in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 65-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southwest Covenant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
