Baseball Recap: Derby Takes a Loss

Derby lost to Wolcott back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Raiders took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Jose Frias made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Isaac McNeill, who earned two RBI and three stolen bases.

Derby's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Wolcott, their record is now 5-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Derby is set to challenge their familiar foe Kennedy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wolcott will square off against rival Oxford at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
