Basketball Game Preview: Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings vs. Starmont Stars

Edgewood-Colesburg is 9-1 against Starmont since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings will welcome the Starmont Stars at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Edgewood-Colesburg is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Maquoketa Valley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Starmont might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Springville an easy 72-46 victory. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Edgewood-Colesburg now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Starmont, they now also have a losing record at 3-4.

Edgewood-Colesburg ended up a good deal behind Starmont in their previous meeting back in January, losing 42-27. Can Edgewood-Colesburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
