Volleyball Recap: Manchester Comes Up Short

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Tuslaw Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Manchester took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 27-25.

Emma Ross paced Manchester's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ross got some help from Alaina Craig and her 17 assists. Finally, Tori Hesson kept Manchester's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Tuslaw, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

Manchester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Springfield on the 22nd. As for Tuslaw, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Orrville on the 23rd.
