Volleyball Recap: Vail Christian Has No Trouble Against Lake County

Vail Christian lost to Lake County back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Saints put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saints.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Vail Christian was: they took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-7, 25-9.

Mary McClarrinon paced Vail Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. McClarrinon got some help from Tenley Brasington and her 12 assists. Brasington also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Betty Bartok, racking up three apiece.

Vail Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lake County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Vail Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Caprock Academy on the 4th. Hopefully Lake County paid attention to the Saints' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Saints at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
