Volleyball Recap: Vail Christian Has No Trouble Against Lake County

Vail Christian lost to Lake County back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Saints put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Vail Christian was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-7, 25-9.

Mary McClarrinon paced Vail Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. McClarrinon got some help from Tenley Brasington and her 12 assists. Brasington also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Betty Bartok, racking up three apiece.

Vail Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lake County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vail Christian will host Caprock Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake County, they will be playing at home against Aspen at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
