Monrovia scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds by a score of 66-63. Monrovia's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Mccloud, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson McCloud, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

Eastern Greene's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyan Hudson, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 27 points. Coby Sykes was another key player, going 10 of 17 on his way to 23 points and five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Monrovia and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Eastern Greene, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monrovia will venture away from home to take on Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. As for Eastern Greene, they will head out to square off against Barr-Reeve at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd.
