Basketball Recap: Flagler Drops Highest Score of Season Against Stratton

Flagler scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 78-63 fall against the Stratton Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Eagles are ranked 125th).

Despite the loss, Flagler still got an impressive performance from Braden Hill, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and 13 boards. That was a full 50.8% of Flagler's points, marking the third time in a row Hill has posted more than a third of the team's points. Zaniel Salee also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Even though they lost, Flagler smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Von Isenbart continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Stratton, almost dropping a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Isenbart posted five steals, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Judson Isenbart, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Flagler's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Stratton, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Flagler has already played their next contest, a 57-35 defeat against Wiley on the 12th. As for Stratton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-58 victory against Burlington on the 13th.
