Football Game Recap: Destrehan vs. Central Lafourche

Destrehan took their game against Central Lafourche on Friday by a conclusive 51-21 score. Followers of Destrehan probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

Destrehan started the matchup off right with 51 first-half points. Central Lafourche countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 51-7 going into the half. Destrehan were outscored in the second half, but Central Lafourche's efforts were ultimately no more than a drop in the ocean. The win was the 4th in a row for Destrehan, as they raised their record to 6-1. The defeat dropped Central Lafourche's record to 5-2.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Destrehan will stay at home next week against Bourgeois at 7:00 PM. Bourgeois took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Destrehan's good fortune. As for Central Lafourche, they will face off against Terrebonne. Terrebonne are cruising in on a seven-game winning streak.
