Basketball Game Preview: Fairhope Pirates vs. Baker Hornets

The Fairhope Pirates and the Baker Hornets will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Fairhope is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Spanish Fort. The Pirates blew past the Toros 55-22 on Thursday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Toros recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Baker unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Murphy on Thursday, falling 81-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hornets have suffered against the Panthers since December 5, 2017.
