Chenango Forks prepares to host a special TOC 2016-17 ceremony where the girls soccer team will be nationally recognized by MaxPreps.

MaxPreps is pleased to announce that the Chenango Forks (Binghamton, N.Y.) Blue Devils have officially been named to the 12th Annual MaxPreps Soccer Tour of Champions presented by the Army National Guard, which is in its sixth year honoring girls soccer.

This is one of the most prestigious team awards in all of high school sports and it is an exclusive honor reserved for the top 100 teams nationwide. In order to be eligible, a team must win a state championship and be highly ranked in the MaxPreps National Rankings. For soccer, only 20 of the country's best are invited and with nearly 34,000 competing varsity teams. This puts the Blue Devils ahead of 99.9 percent of their opponents!

On Sunday, Nov. 13 the Chenango Forks Blue Devils completed a perfect 23-0 season with a 2-1 win over Westhill for the NYSPHSAA Class B girls soccer state championship at SUNY Cortland. Despite their 1-0 halftime deficit, the Blue Devils bounced back with a pair of goals to knock off the top-ranked Warriors.

In Chenango Forks' undefeated state championship season (23-0), the team outscored its opponents 108-4 and recorded 19 shutouts. After a season of continued excellence, the Blue Devils finished ranked No.1 in Section IV, No.1 in the state and No.16 in the MaxPreps National Rankings.

These incredible season achievements have earned the Chenango Forks Blue Devils an invitation to the 12th Annual Tour of Champions.

Please join us as we celebrate with the girls soccer team, coaching staff, students and fans on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 6:45 p.m. during pregame of the girls basketball game in the gym.
