Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jake Streit and Luke Nelson Lead Teton to Victory

Teton won the last time they faced Ririe and things went their way on Thursday too. The Teton Timberwolves blew past the Ririe Bulldogs 58-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Timberwolves have posted against the Bulldogs since January 12, 2021.

Leading Teton to victory were Luke Nelson and Jake Streit. Nelson went 6 of 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points along with five boards and five steals, while Streit went 6 of 12 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Nelson has scored at least a third of Teton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Canon Kunz, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Teton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Teton's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Ririe, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Teton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-45 victory against North Fremont on the 11th. As for Ririe, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-49 loss against Sugar-Salem on the 10th.
