Volleyball Recap: Elkhorn North Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Skutt Catholic + How To Watch

Elkhorn North faced Skutt Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolves fell 2-0 to the SkyHawks. The Wolves have struggled against the SkyHawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Elkhorn North couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Skutt Catholic a tough time in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 32-30, 25-18.

Reagan Wallraff paced Elkhorn North's offense, picking up 15 kills. Wallraff got some help from Hayden Booth and her 24 assists.

Skutt Catholic was led to victory by Maggie McMahon and Marin Brummund. McMahon had 13 assists and four digs, while Brummund had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Brummund has posted over her last six matchups.

Elkhorn North's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Skutt Catholic, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-5.

Looking ahead, Elkhorn North will be taking part in a tournament against Marian at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Skutt Catholic, they are taking a road trip to challenge Benet Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
