Football Game Preview: West Stokes Wildcats vs. North Surry Greyhounds + How To Watch

The West Stokes Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the North Surry Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, West Stokes turned things around against East Surry on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-28 win over the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, North Surry played in-conference for the first time on Friday and got just the result they were looking for. They blew past Surry Central 42-15. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

West Stokes better keep an eye on Zamarri Sweatman. He was instrumental in North Surry's win, rushing for 294 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Sweatman is now averaging an impressive 120.4 rushing yards per game. David Schuyler was another key player, rushing for 66 yards and one score.

North Surry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 402 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

West Stokes' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for North Surry, their record is now 5-3.
