Arlo Budd posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Budd and Sandwich will head out to take on Mendota at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coming in off a loss to Erie-Prophetstown in their last outing, the Trojans are looking for some redemption.
