Soccer Recap: Cleveland Find Success

Cleveland's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Western Guilford Hornets 3-2. Cleveland found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Jamie Separack and Matheo Salazar were both handed yellow cards.

Cleveland hit Western Guilford with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anthony Rodriguez, Blayden Cotten, and Ronaldo Gutierrez.

The win got Cleveland back to even at 1-1. As for Western Guilford, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Cleveland will head out to take on West Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Western Guilford, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-6 victory against Voyager Academy on the 23rd.
