Volleyball Recap: Elm Creek Find Success

The Elm Creek Buffaloes beat the Omaha Christian Guardians 2-0 on Saturday.

Elm Creek found their leader in freshman Reece Steiner, who had 15 digs.

Elm Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Omaha Christian still got an impressive performance from Emma Wheelock, who had 11 digs. Wheelock has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Elm Creek now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Omaha Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Coincidentally, Elm Creek and Omaha Christian will both be playing Dorchester the next time they take the court. The Guardians will head out to face the Longhorns at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Buffaloes will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
