Basketball Game Preview: Klein Oak Panthers vs. Klein Cain Hurricanes

The Klein Oak Panthers will head out to take on the Klein Cain Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Klein Cain took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Klein Oak, who comes in off a win.

Klein Oak is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Magnolia: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Klein Oak blew Magnolia out of the water with a 73-37 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Panthers had established a 27 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Klein Cain came up short against Klein on Friday and fell 59-47. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 902nd, while the Bearkats are ranked 331st).

Klein Cain has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. As for Klein Oak, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Everything came up roses for Klein Oak against Klein Cain in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 70-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Klein Oak since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
