Baseball Recap: Marshalltown Comes Up Short

Marshalltown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Lincoln Railsplitters, falling 17-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2025.

Marshalltown's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Lincoln, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Railsplitters beat Marshalltown by a score of 7-3 later that day.
