Softball Recap: East Rockingham Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Rockingham can now relate to. They came up short against the Turner Ashby Knights on Friday, falling 12-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

East Rockingham's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Turner Ashby, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

East Rockingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Turner Ashby, they will square off against Monticello at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
