Recap: Chillicothe Hornets vs. Kauffman
On Tuesday, Chillicothe earned a 54-41 victory over Kauffman. Given Chillicothe's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Kauffman is ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chillicothe found their leader in underclassman Jaishon White, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Another player making a difference was James Mathew, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Chillicothe is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Kauffman, they dropped their record down to 10-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Chillicothe will stay at home for another game and welcome Savannah at 7:15 p.m. on February 9th. As for Kauffman, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Mary's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
