Basketball Recap: Ridgewood Comes Up Short

Ridgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the West Aurora Blackhawks, falling 55-16. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 511th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 151st).

Ridgewood's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for West Aurora, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Ridgewood will be taking part in a tournament against Niles North at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. As for West Aurora, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Elmwood Park at 7:00 p.m.
