Volleyball Game Preview: Coastal Academy Stingrays vs. San Diego Jewish Academy Lions

The Coastal Academy Stingrays will square off against the San Diego Jewish Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coastal Academy will be strutting in after a victory while San Diego Jewish Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Coastal Academy made easy work of Escondido Adventist Academy and carried off a 3-0 win. The Stingrays haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Coastal Academy was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 25-15.

Meanwhile, San Diego Jewish Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Calvin Christian.

San Diego Jewish Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Calvin Christian work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 27-25.

Coastal Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-20. As for San Diego Jewish Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Coastal Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over San Diego Jewish Academy in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Stingrays repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
