Football Recap: Westside Wolverines vs. Orange Park Raiders
Westside was the 28-23 winner over Orange Park when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Westside Wolverines took a 20-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orange Park Raiders on Friday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dylon Ruiz was a one-man wrecking crew for Orange Park as he rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Quinton Moore handled things on the ground, rushing for 141 yards.
Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Orange Park, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westside will host Parker at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orange Park, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ponte Vedra at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.
