Baseball Recap: Seward Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

Seward won the last time they faced York and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bluejays walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Dukes.

Kolton Loos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Deklan Lindau and Keyan Schadwinkel did most of the damage at the plate: Lindau got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Schadwinkel went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Schadwinkel a new career-high. Quinton Hibbert was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Seward kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as York only managed three hits.

Seward is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for York, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

As of now, neither Seward nor the Dukes have any future games scheduled.
