Byron had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.9 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They blew past the Lake City Tigers, posting a 75-40 victory. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

Byron is also on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Lake City, they dropped their record down to 11-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Byron and Lake City should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Byron will face off against Lourdes at 7:15 p.m. on Monday up 73 places (17 vs. 90). Meanwhile, Lake City (ranked 157th) will meet St. Charles (ranked 347th) at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
