Basketball Recap: Byng Drops Highest Score of Season Against Sulphur

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Byng). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 victory over the Sulphur Bulldogs on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Byng's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Sulphur, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Byng didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-60 win against Seminole on the 20th. As for Sulphur, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ada at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
